Fractions

My students had completed the fraction unit. They understood the basic fraction concept but struggled with equivalent fractions. We did a Hersey Bar activity where they students were given a partner. First I created a fraction with the Hersey Bar and then they had to create an equivalent fraction with their Hersey Bar Once students understood what they were to do, I put the  students with a partner.One student would make a fraction using the Hersey Bar then their partner had to create an equivalent fraction using there Hersey Bar. When we finished, they were allowed to eat their Hersey Bar which they loved!!!
